Brookline neighborhood trades blue collar for white, but hangs on to its fabric
For much of the 20th century, the men and women of the Point were the backbone of Brookline, building its roads, patrolling its streets and putting out its fires. Many of those whose didn’t work for the town served other residents, often climbing toney Pill Hill each morning to work as chauffeurs or servants.
But that has changed dramatically in the last 20 years, said residents of the neighborhood.

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Brookline Community Foundation. Almost 70 golfers enjoyed the day of golf, dinner and celebration.

Brookline -A new swarm of bicyclists has been observed by other bicyclists, motorists and public safety officials across Brookline. And while it’s being hailed as a step in the right direction at a time when gas has topped a wallet-crippling $4 a gallon, it’s also set off frequent showdowns between steering-wheel commuters and handle-bar commuters.

Letters to the editor: July 24
Brookline -According to his letter in last week’s TAB [“Live and let honk”], Steve Daisy is being rendered nauseous when other Brookline residents whine about the geese fouling our public parks. He reminds us that they are beautiful birds who have “wild and wonderful conversations in the sky” while en route to distant locations. He suggests we just learn to step more gingerly.
